How do i create my own movies using other clips from the internet?
I have an apple macbook, a sony camcorder and a hitachi high def camcorder compatible with a mac. I am creating my own movie for art, but wanted to know how to take movie clips from the internet, like Youtube etc, and edit them, or even just use parts of them. I need the robotic movements of car manufacture, the barley fields on the tp gear advert challenge! is this possible, or would i have to film th computer screen as it plays? if you know what i mean. I have the new iLife to help me edit and change movies, but only my own, not others i think. Thanks.
You already got some gears to make a movie and need clips. There are different ways to get some clips. BUT Be Aware of Copyrights monsters.
This is how to get clips.
1.On web, or such as youtube if you like some clips contact the owner and tell them where you want to use in some cases they give permission keep that in your record. I have some songs and movie clips on my youtube channel obtained by permission.
2. Rights free clips, you can buy right free stuff from different website. The best part of this is peace of mind.
3.Locate clips in public domain peace of cake and use it but check if they really are in public domain. Example if some thing is in public domain in America it does not mean it could also be in public domain in other country so check and confirm. This is a way to get stuff free.
4. Make your own, get friends help.
By filming compute screen if you mean to record whatever is on web in that case please read what I have mentioned above.
