Is Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat movie appropriate for a 3rd grade class to watch?
I usually try to stick with G movies, but one of the students brought this one in today. It is PG due to mild crude humor and double-entendres, so I was just wanting some input from those who might have watched the movie or their children have watched it. Thank you!
There is some crude humour although I guess most of it will go over the children's heads. My sister (9) watched and enjoyed it (although I would be wary of them trying to spell out the acronyms).
Wikipedia has a useful list of the 'mature content'. If you think any of it is inappropriate you might be able to set the DVD to skip certain bits or re-consider watching it.
