Are there other stars in the galaxy like our sun?
I was in Earth adn environmental science and my teacher said that our sun is one of a kind in our whole galaxy. Is it true that our sun is the only sun or star in the galaxy?? I highly doubt this, i thought that there were tons of stars and solar systems, and in each solar system is a star with orbiting planets.. SO are there other starts in our galaxy the same as our sun, like not a planet, the sun?

The Sun is a *very* average star. There are *billions* of G-type stars in the Milky Way, and in every galaxy in the universe. It isn't *the* most common type of star; that would be the red dwarf. But the Sun is by no means "one of a kind". It's very ordinary. You either misunderstood your teacher, or your teacher doesn't know what they're talking about.

There are tons of stars, and every star is part of a star system, which includes anything gravitationally bound to the star, usually gaseous planets of hydrogen in 1st generation star systems, and rocky planets in 2nd generation or later star systems.
There is only one Solar System. That is the name of our star system.
