what do you think about this poem?
I Love Christmas
I love Christmas when it comes around
The smells and tastes, the sights and sounds
I love the Christmassy Cinnamon smells
The Carol singers and chiming church bells
I love to see the advent candles are burning ,
As the excited faces all the children are yearning
I love the gifts done up with ribbons and bows
And Red faced Santa’s calling ho ho ho
I love the merry songs about the season of Yule
And handmade decs brought home from school
I love trimming the tree with festive things
Like candy canes and popcorn strings
I love the twinkling of the Christmas lights
And the garlands hanging colourful and bright
As I scurry to bed this cold christmas night
give me a break im only 9
I think it is a good poem but,
On line three...I'm not sure that Christmassy is a good word try using the word Christmas instead
then on line 6--as the excited faces all the children are yearning
the last part is good but you need to try to fix all the excited face because it don't really make sense nor does it play into the last part of that line
then on the line where is says...and handemade dexs brought home from school...
Instead of using decs just use decorations it makes it sound a lot better...
Other than that I think the poem is cute just a lil advice if your looking for it..I have a lot of poems published on poetry.com and in some books
