I need the best cheapest leather working tools?
I am starting to make my own leather tack and want to know where the best and cheapest place to buy the tools I need? Also I am looking for building for a small saddle bag?

They both some with little precut things you can make, great for practice, and a basic set of tools.
They also sell a lot of pattern sets, plenty with horse tack patterns.
Find the closest tandy leather store near you, go on in and just tell them that you need help getting started, and they'll help you out, and suggest things.
Also, as a note; investing in a rawhide mallet is well worth it. It's heavy, which is really handy for punching holes, which you'll have to do a lot of, if you're going to make a saddle bag. Also, when you tackle that project, make sure you get a lot of needles, because they tend to break as you sew.
